Oak Wash Homes in Cottonwood, AZ offers 32 permanent, affordable apartments for households experiencing homelessness in the Verde Valley. The property was funded by the Arizona Department of Housing and Home Matters to Arizona.
Qualifications
Interested households must be experiencing homelessness and referred to Housing Solutions through the Coordinated Entry Program or partner homeless services provider operating in the greater Cottonwood area. They must also fall at or below 60% of the area median income (AMI).
How to Apply
Interested households can contact Catholic Charities to complete an application and referral sheet. From there, the referral sheet and application will be sent to Jermaine Barkley, Director of Rental Programs, at jermaineb@housingnaz.org. Prospective tenants will need to provide documentation verifying their household size, household income and assets. Adult members of the household will also need to pass a background check.
What is the cost?
Oak Wash Homes has 28 studios, two 1-bedroom units, and two 2-bedroom unit. Household size cannot exceed two persons for studios and 1-bedroom units; household size cannot exceed four persons for 2-bedroom units. Rent includes utilities and is determined on a sliding scale based on household income and the size of the rental unit. A rent schedule is attached. There are minimum household income requirements to qualify to rent one of our units so we can help ensure the ongoing rent will be sustainable for tenants.
