About

JoJo’s Place is transitional housing for households experiencing homelessness in Flagstaff. The apartment community consists of 44, furnished studios. JoJo’s Place helps homeless households to secure safe, decent and affordable housing, while accessing wrap-around support services to transition to permanent, stable housing.

Transitional housing is defined by the length of time a resident can stay in the program (a maximum of 24-months), and the wrap-around support services offered to help households gain resources and identify permanent housing. Housing Solutions of Northern Arizona has partnered with Catholic Charities Community Services to provide on-site housing case management services to residents, the Flagstaff Family Food Center to provide food resources to families, and The Guidance Center to provide mental health support services.

Housing Solutions of Northern Arizona complies with the HUD Fair Housing Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act and does not discriminate based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status (families with children under 18 years of age or pregnancy, or disability (physical and/or mental).

How to Apply

Referrals for JoJo’s Place come through the Front Door of Coconino County coordinated entry program, which is operated by Catholic Charities and Flagstaff Shelter Services. The Front Door program provides a one-stop housing resource and referral system to households experiencing homelessness so that each household can be referred to appropriate permanent and transitional housing placements without having to go to multiple agencies and apply for multiple programs. If you are experiencing homelessness, please contact Catholic Charities (families) or Flagstaff Shelter Services (individuals) to connect with a Front Door Specialist.

How to Support

You can be a part of the solution, helping households experiencing homelessness move into safe, affordable housing with access to the supports and resources needed to build a new, secure future. JoJo's Place is possible thanks to partners and donors like you. And remember, your donation is tax-deductible, and eligible for the Arizona Charitable Tax Credit.

JoJo's History

This program was named “JoJo’s Place”, in honor of a past resident of Housing Solutions who gained independence and moved into permanent housing with her son. Sadly, JoJo passed away due to health complications. JoJo was an inspiration to staff and other residents; her positive and caring nature and infectious smile will be remembered by the staff and residents, whose lives she touched.
